A letter from the CEO:

As we near the end of May and Ontario starts to slowly reopen, I’d like to address a couple things.

Firstly, I want to say a massive thank you to all of the agents here at Umber for their work in finding safe ways to deliver real estate services during the pandemic. They’ve kept on top of the continually changing government health guidelines to find ways to accommodate their client’s needs from the necessary distance. They’ve helped people buy and sell homes in one of the most challenging times we’ve collectively experienced. The professionalism, empathy and community spirit they’ve demonstrated exemplifies the values Umber stand for, and I’m proud to have them on my team.

Secondly, I’d like to talk about what the next few weeks will look like for Umber. The technology that has propelled us forward as a leader in the real estate industry has allowed us to make the transition to the current environment with relative ease. Our agents are well-equipped to work from home. We’re experienced in showcasing your home through VR, so that prospective buyers can check it out without a physical visit. Using electronic signatures is our standard: not only is this convenient for clients but it avoids unnecessary physical contact. These practices combine to allow us to continue to provide high quality service to our clients while protecting everyone’s health.

As Ontario re-opens, I want to assure you that Umber will continue to be vigilant in its business practices. Public health professionals anticipate the challenges presented by COVID-19 will extend into the months ahead. Umber will continue to follow government guidelines to ensure the safety of our clients. And, as always, we will continue to offer personalized and professional real estate services.
